I am trying to use an USB device to connect a Win98 client to a DCOM Access
Point, with no luck.

In the device's manual it is mentioned that it requires at least Win98 SE
(second edition) (or ME, Win2000, XP).

After some arguing, Win98 agreed to install this pnp device, but I don't
manage to get it connected to the network. The leds on the device is telling
that it has power and that it is having a lot of activity going on.

Does someone of you have any similar experience, and maybe know of some tip
to get around this problem? ...primarily without suggesting to upgrade the
OS on the pc
