Hi I have a WLAN 802.11g Network Adapter built into my new laptop, and am
connecting to NTL broadband via a linksys wireless g broadband router
WRT54G.

I can connect ok, but the connection is lost every 2 minutes or so, and the
display "one or more wireless network connections are available" pops up, I
then click on it, get to the connect button, and all is well for thenext
couple of minutes before it disconnets again.

Any ideas as to how I can stop this happening?

Gordon

This is a symptom of having 802.11x authentication enabled.

Brain Fart: read message, post irrelevancy. The solution which *seems*
to work is to broadcast SSID, set connect to preferred networks only,
put the SSID in preferred networks alone, and change the default channel
on the router or access point.
