Wireless keyboard locks out the system!!

Hi. I have the Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.0A, Wireless Optical Mouse
2.0A, and Wireless Optical Desktop Reciever 2.0A. With it I is IntelliPoint
5.0 and IntelliType Pro 5.0 software. It all installed ok but the next time I
booted up my system as soon as I hit any key on the keyboard it locked up the
keyboard and mouse. I'm faced with having to turn off the system to get
anywhere which I don't like doing. I find that on booting the system if I
un-install the keyboard, restart machine, then re-install keyboard it will
work fine. But if I was to shut down the system the next time I boot up the
same lock out problem occurs (unless I go through the un-install process
again). Has anyone any ideas on this? Many thanks
