On my laptop I use a wireless adapter and I can receive the internet from my
router but I cannot use the network to get into my main computer. When I try
to access the main computer that is hardwired to the router this is the
message : "laptop is not accessible. You might not have permission to use
this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find if
you have access permissions. The network path was not found." When i try to
access the laptop from the main computer I get the same message.
It does not matter which laptop adapter I use whether it is Linksys, D-Link
or Netgear.
I also have a desktop computer on the network and it works just fine, it has
access to the main computer and the internet, and the main computer has
access to the desktop.
There has to be something on the laptop that is stopping access to the
network but allowing access to the internet. This is very frustrating

Your help would be grateful and thanks in advance.

Hi
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,
http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html As well as specific adjustment of each
computer according to what is allowed to be shared.
