I have a home encrypted Wi fi network for 2 laptops. Mine and my wife's. Hers
works fine but for some reason mine keeps disconnecting after about 5-10 mins
and i have to reconnect. Not only that but in order to do so I have to go to
the advanced settings every time and enter my WEP network key. Even then
sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and the laptop just sits there
"thinking". The only way I can stay connected without it disconnecting itself
is by disabling the network, not ideal. What is going on?
A 2nd and perhaps related problem is when I right click on the internet
connection icon and click "repair", I get an unable message saying "following
action cannot be completed: disabling the wireless network adaptor. Make sure
your network is properly installed". What is that all about?

Hi
In some newer systems WPA work much better then WEP (it is also more
secure).
Alternatively, if you are using Windows Zero Configuration try the original
wireless utility and vice versa.
Make sure that your SSID is On.
