I recently bought the Wireless G-Kit MN-820 that comes
with the laptop card and the base. The base is connected
to my desktop and the card in the laptop. Both are running
XP. I installed the software and followed all the
instructions. I left security off so that to make it
easier for now. I got the 2 to connect once. Now, the
laptop comes up saying wrong key code. It knows the
network is there, but its the wrong code. Both computers
dont have any code set up. What's wrong? I've tried many
times already with no success. Thanks

See if you somehow have 802.1x authentication enabled. If you're not
running WPA security encryption, you don't need it. Also, double-check both
systems are on the same Workgroup as you assigned in the base station.

I am having the exact same problem. I bought the kit,
got it in today, got everything installed, and the laptop
keeps telling me the WEP code is invalid for the selected
network. I have tried turning WEP off altogether -
causing the laptop not even to ask me for the code - yet
it still comes back as invalid. Weird problem....
