Wireless GFRS

Has anyone used wireless cards obtained from cellular providers for
their PC? My wife is going to be in a rural area in the midwest
(broadband options are very limited) taking care of her mother after
surgery. She would to get access to her companies network (via VPN) to
get some work done.

I see that T-Mobile offers a Sony Ericsoon GC89 with a fairly attractive
rate but wonder if other people have had success with these cards.
