Will Wireless-G interfere with cordless 2.4gz phones and vice-versa?

Will using different channels avoid such interference?

Is 802.11A protocol, e.g. with D-Link 764 a/b, a logical choice to avoid
interference?

Thanks.

Alan

Possibly.

Either that, or use cordless phones that don't use the 2.4GHz range.

Fundamentalism is fundamentally wrong.

Interference tends to be related to the design of the telephone system,
and the newer phones tend to interfere far less than older units. When
wireless was relatively new (i.e., one year ago), there were many
reports of phone interferences, and not just from 2.4 Ghz systems. Now,
a year later, reports of interference are getting to be a rarity. I
think it is still good practice to keep other radio sources away from
the wireless internet equipment.

Quaoar,

Thanks for your reply.

The 2.4 phones are about 2-3 years old, so I may have trouble. They would
be about 10 feet away from computers.

11A is probably the safer investment.
