wireless ethernet connection

I have tow wireless adapetrs, one desktop PC and one notebook.I like to
communicate these tow computers by wireless ethernet.Somebody tell me to fix
the adhost mode for two wireless adapter. So, I change it but i still cannot
communicate between them. I don't know that do i need to setup the IP or not
also if somebody know that things very well Please tell me how to config
about everythings details.
