Hi,

I need to connect a xbox (original) to a wireless network, the official
xbox 1 wireless adapter is quite hard to come by so I am thinking about
an ethernet wireless bridge.

Does anyone have any experience with these ?, reccomendations would be
helpful to0.

Any help appreciated.

I've used a Buffalo WLI-TX4-G54HP, e.g. here

http://tinyurl.com/3dj988

mostly in situations where I need more range than the built-in
wireless in my laptop can provide.

It has worked fine for me. I guess I should point out that I've
found access points which behave bizarrely when they see more than
one MAC address coming from an attached client, as is the default
behaviour for the box above, but there is configuration to make
the box instead use the MAC address of the first thing it sees
attached to the ethernet and in this mode I've never had a problem.

Thanks for that, its very helpful, in single mac address mode can you
only use one ethernet device ?.

The single MAC address mode makes the box use the MAC address of
(one of) the ethernet device(s) for 802.11 signalling as well,
which means that if you only have one ethernet device all the packets
sent by the bridge will have its MAC address. If you have multiple
ethernet devices then packets with multiple MAC addresses will still
come out of the box, which will still confuse the access points which are
inclined to be confused by that. If you have an access point which gets
confused you'll be limited to one device on the ethernet.
