Wireless Connection Trouble

I am an avid online game player and I utilize a wireless
network to do so. My network recieves a "very good"
signal strength but I find that recently my ping
(latency) on the computer that is not directly connected
to the internet has gone up a little. Also when I am in
a game, my network "disconnects" me for a split second
every few minutes or so - it is becomming very annoying.
It's as if no information is being transferred during
that time. I was wondering if it could possibly be the
settings I have on my 802.11b wireless base station. I
belive I have set it up right but I thought
perhaps "wireless security" might be a factor in this. I
would greatly appreciate any comments on my situation.
Please send to my email ((E-Mail Removed)).
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.
