HI
Can someone help please

I Run a SBS2003 single NIC server with 10+ clients connected through a
router. my Router is connected to a SonicWall firewire which in rurn is
connected to my ADSL modem.

I want to add a wireless router to the network to allow network access to
somewhere where we cant easily get cables.

I have connected the wireless router to my router and tested the link and it
works beautifully. However i have just had a thought, -is the configuration
i have secure?

Thanks

Alex

What kind of security have you configured thus far? WEP, WPA? Either is
reasonably good. Depends on your requirements. WPA is best. Just don't run
in unsecured mode.

Or... are you talking about basic networking in that you used a router to
keep the wireless machines on a different network? That's good too I guess,
it that helps with your requirements. I probably would have used a simply
wireless access point and kept the wireless machines on the same network...
but again... just depends on your requirements.

thanks for your response

I am using WEP

My concern was that given the wireless router is the LAN side of the
Firewall, would soemone who managed to establish the WEP, be able to access
the network without athentication?

Depends on how your network is configured. How do your wireless LAN machine
access your network? No login required?
