wireless connection

Hi,
I have a win98 laptop with Linksys wireless PCMCIA card, in a Domain
environment with a Linksys router for internet access (DSL). When I first
boot the laptop and log in, it tells me the Domain is not available. I click
ok and get in to the desktop, at this point, I have internet access, but I'm
not on the domain. If I log off and back on, everything works fine (Domain
is available). I heard it's a Win98 bug and there is a fix, but I can't find
it. Any idea's?

The problem is that Windows 98 doesn't start the wireless connection soon
enough, and that's a problem you may or may not be able to solve. A
different wireless adapter might start up sooner and allow domain access,
but apparently the one you have now isn't starting up until the Startup
group is loaded and by that time it's too late.

That's correct, but I heard there is a patch out there. Any idea where I can
find it?

No, there is no patch. The problem is in the drivers for the wireless
adapter. In Windows 2000 and XP, these drivers start up before the login
prompt and desktop appears. In Windows 98, some do and some do not, as I
said previously.
