I just got a Netgear WG511G wireless network card for my Inspiron
8200. I finally got it working, connecting to my roommates Apple
AirPort. Everything is fone for about 5-10 minutes and then it locks
up my system. When I try and end things normally I am told that my
system resources are at 100% and I have to power down. Any idea why it
would be ok for 5-10 minutes and then stop working? Thanks very much
in advance!

Describe your OS. If XP, turn off 802.11x authentication. If that
doesn't work, uncheck Let Windows Screw with (Manage) My Network,
setting up the NIC manually from the settings in Device Manager. You
might also Google Groups the words: XP wireless airport.

Go to Netgear's site and get latest driver version.

My WAB501 had the same problem and flashing up the driver resolved the
issue immediately.

Possible suggestion: Go to dslreports.com, read about tweaking TCP and
download a program called DRTCP. Your MTU might be set too high (use 1492 or
less if you have a router)...your OS may be defaulting to 1500.
