I have a problem when connected to a WRT54G ver 1.1 (1.42.3) with a Dell
laptop using a WPC11 ver 1.0, rescanning on the wireless side occurs every
60 seconds causing a disconnect with the router.

I have tested this WPC11 connected to a D-Link router and it works perfect.

I have tested this WPC11 connected to a Linksys WRT54G ver 1.0 (1.01.4) and
it works perfect. I upgraded the WRT54G ver 1.0 to 1.42.3 and now I have the
exact problem as with the WRT54G ver 1.1 (1.42.3). I backed the firmware
down to 1.01.4 via the interim step of 1.41.8 on the WRT54G ver 1.0 and the
problem is fixed.

2.00.8_US is also still broke.

I'd like to downgrade my WRT54G ver 1.1 but I read someplace the Flash in
the 1.0 is an AMD and in the 1.1 is an Intel. My question is can I downgrade
a WRT54G ver 1.1 to 1.01.4 or something in between 1.01.4 and 1.42.3, just
before Linksys broke the code? I'm paranoid to try it; I know you can lock a
flash if you put in code that is not formatted for the correct flash.

Obviously this is an interim step until Linksys fixes its code.

Thanks,

Rich

I have downloaded for my router also a wrt54 G new firmware which is tweaked
you can turn up the output than I ve got it here ftp://ftp.sveasoft.com/pub/
the version i use is called Firmware_Samadhi2_v2_2.00.8.6sv.bin

Works perfect here no more dropouts after I have put the output on max

Hi Jeff

Are you using a version 2 WRT54G router with this firmware?

Also, do you know, or does anyone know why Turbo mode doesn't work with
this router in its stock form? Is that a function of the firmware, or is
it an actual hardware deal?

Thanks in advance...
