I'd like to connect two small wired workgroups (about 2 PC's on each)
together with minimal hardware and minimal cost. One of the two is
currently configured with a cable modem and wired router/switch.

Can any of the consumer wireless router/switch combinations be used for
this? I'd like to just buy two of them and get rid of the other
switches/hubs on the networks. Set one up as a firewall router for the cable
modem access point, while the second would essentially be a slave network.

Thanks.
