What "folder for wireless config utility" are you looking at?

Is there an icon showing in the notification area (near the clock) that
can be used to "show available wireless networks"?

What shows in "Network Connections"?

Hi
First step is to find out if the WIFO works.
Follow this, http://www.ezlan.net/wireless.html
If it looks like their is a viable working WIFI system, then you/he need to
describe exactly what "Not working" in specific means in this case.
One common issue is that people has encryption On, or the computer is
configure to work with a business Network, and need to be adjust to work
with Open Hot Spots.
Jack (MS, MVP-Networking).
