Wireless Clients

I have a w2k3 domain with 50 wired clients and 2 laptop wireless clients,
Every so often, either of the wifi clients will loose its AD membership.
When you logon it tells you that the domain is unavailbale or the computer
account in the domain is missing. The wireless network is functioning fine at
this point.
The only way I can seem to cure this problem is to remove the laptop from
the domain and then join it again. This will cure the problem for a few weeks
and then it will re-occur.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

How long are the laptops disconnected from the network? They will be
dropped from the domain if they are unreachable for a while.

Bill, I have never seen what you are describing. And the acount is there,
obviously, since this poster has to delete the old account.

Jez,

This sounds like a wireless issue. Depending on how you are authenticating
there can be DC communication issues. Specifically I have seen this when
using certificates for authentication, but I wouldn't doubt it would happen
with other forms.
The Wireless acces point was our issue.
It would intermittently allow communications to the DCs and during log on
the systems started to be unable to talk to the LDAP service.
For a while they worked with cached credentials, and then they gave up the
ghost so to speak.
When I got pulled into the mess several clients had been off the line long
enough for thier computer account passwords to be expired.
This is a root issue for you I believe.
After verifiying connectivity right click the computer acount in the domain
and reset the account. And look at your wireless components.

I wasn't aware that accounts were dropped from the domain if they are
"unreachable"

Sorry for the sloppy description. The client isn't deleted from the
domain, it just loses the ability to access it, as Manny described. It is
about 7 days from memory.
