For several weeks I have been trying to bridge two networks using the 2000
AP Dlink access points and it hasn't been successful. Connection was made
then dropped, signal levels varied and their technical assistance while
responsive were not providing any solutions. I finally asked for an exchange
because the access points were not doing what they were supposed to do. My
2000AP's were HW version A1 and the exchange ones are version C 1. I set
them up and they worked and are working very well as a bridge between two
wired networks over a distance of 150 feet through at 4 walls of two houses.
Yes they will only connect in any mode to another 2000AP.
