Hi,

I need two PCMCIA network cards with the following requirements and I
can't find all of the information I need in one place to select the
right product:

- must be 802.11g (ideally 802.11g/a combo, but that's not a must)
- must support 64/128/256-bit WEP *and* WPA
- must be supported in Linux (and Windows, but show me a card without
Windows support)
- must be compatible with both kismet and airsnort

One of the two cards can be CardBus, but is it possible to get a card
that does all that and still be 16-bit PCMCIA? It's for an older
device without a CardBus slot.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Norm

Maybe orinoco 11a/b/g ComboCard will fit your needs?

More details here:
http://www.proxim.com/products/wifi/...ard/index.html

Linux drivers can be found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi/
You have to grab from CVS, but I use the driver with my IBM 802.11a/b/g
card.

This I really don't know anything about.

I have excatly the same problem, but I need PCI cards, not PCMCIA. And
madwifi does not support the PCI model according to many Google searches.

Netgear (Prism Chipset) cards are natively supported and have worked very
well for me.
