wireless card adaptor

hi,each time i install(physically)a new card adaptor to enable me to have a
wireless connection,my pc says it has recognised the new hardware then it is
shutdown due to a serious error......................error message :STOP
0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078)

microsoft helpline said to type in Q293078 and there would be 2 fixes but it
comes up no matches found.

please help in novice pc language if you can..............thank you,Brian
