wireless can't see internet

I purchased a linksys wmp54g wireless-g pci adapter and installed it in
our desktop.
The PC will see the wireless network and says it has a very-good or
excellent signal, but the internet will not work.

The same wireless network can be accessed all the time with no trouble
from our laptop using an old orinoco wireless card.

Any ideas?
