Wireless "cable" router recommendations

I would like a wireless router with four port switch and Ethernet WAN.
Although the router will be used as a router for now, it will likely end up
being used just as an AP. The main features required are: fairly cheap,
reliable (ie won't crash every week), WPA (ideally), and good wireless
range/speed.

So far I've come up with a list of one: the Netgear WGR614. Is this a
reasonable choice?

What comparable alternatives are there that I may have missed and would be
worth considering?

TIA,
Alex

I agree, the Linksys is easy to set up and has 3rd party firmware available
if you want to tinker with it : http://openwrt.org/

Thanks to both of you. I decided to go for this it seems to work just fine.
OpenWrt looks interesting; worth keeping half an eye on, but I think the
router will do everything I need with the Linksys firmware.
