THUS Telecom has won a key contract to provide homes and businesses across
the Scottish Borders region with broadband wireless Internet access:

Customers will be able to get broadband by linking into the service through
a wireless receiver attached to their premises, as part of a pilot project
being run by Scottish Borders Rural Broadband.

Work is progressing to develop the network with plans to start operations
later this year.

This is just one of a number of Scottish Enterprise (SE) Broadband for
Business projects being run by the Enterprise Network as part of a strategy
to get both urban and rural areas in the Borders region linked up to faster
telecommunications.
