I talked to a D-Link tech who said with a bit of tweaking I could configure
a DI-624 router to function as a wireless bridge to my PVR. I couldn't
figure out how to do it so I emailed tech support and was told that this is
not possible.

The first guy said it wouldn't be easy, but it could be done. So I'm
wondering if this is an undocumented capability that the second person
doesn't know about. Is there a way to configure a DI-624 to give wireless
access to a non-wireless device?

I was also told this could not happen, as the wireless AP "part" would
have to operate in client mode (ala a PCI / pcmcia card) and it wont
do this. I would love to be proven wrong though.

Well, the D-Link 2000AP can operate in bridge mode (it has such an option in
the control panel, the 624 does not have such an obvious option). So if the
624 and the 2000 have the same AP "part" then it is conceivable that the 624
can also function as a bridge. Question is, how do you configure the DI-624
to function as a bridge?

Anyone figured out how to do this???
