Can you use other usb wireless adapters or wireless cards
with the Microsoft Wireless Base station or does it need
to be all Microsoft.

So long as they are of the same standard. That is to say 802.11a
wireless products will never work. I can't be more specific because you
didn't provide more information about which Microsoft products you are
using or are planning on using.
