Wireless Base Station ans Access Point

I recently purchased 2 MN-700 and was expecting to
configure one of them as a base station and the other as
a wireless access point. The directions cover this in
custom setup, but they show a cat 5 cable connecting them
together. I was hoping to connect them wirelessly in
order to extend the range of my network and to use the
one configured as an access point as a hub in a lab area.
Is this possible? If so what would be the correct way to
configure the access point?
Thank you
Mark

No, they need to be wired, Mark. Sorry, but the base station can "act" as
an access point, but requires that it be wired to the DHCP-serving base
station.
