Yes, they are. Microsoft dropped out of the market a few months ago. The
products will still be supported to two years, I believe.

Would you know why they dropped it? It was a very good
product, and I had recommend it to alot of people.
Thanks for your answer.

Honestly don't know, Joe. Sort of like the decision to drop game
controllers over a year ago. Guess they just decided to do it. 8-)

Not enough money in it. You figure out why. Maybe too much competition.

I think if you have one of the original cartons you will
see they sold the last product as Wi-Fi certified (b and
g with WPA checkmarks). At Wi-Fi Org it indicates
Microsoft never received the security certification they
expected over a year ago. The last update(Jul 04) to the
MN-700 even sticks a para on the router's security
settings page explaining that using WPA security drops
the MN-700 below Wi-Fi certification level. Don't yell at
the tech support people, they were told to tell the
buyers that certification was coming. That's marketing I
guess but it answers a lot of questions posed in the
newsgroups. Imagine how the techs feel telling the public
they've been assured certification is coming along and
then a year later fielding complaints about marketing
practices. Probably best to get out of the business.

Other than the fact they don't meet spec, and are a little
problematic, it was a good try. Unfortunately...well.

Cheers,

Gary

I agree. Microsoft broadband configuration software is
the most user-friendly I have used.

If only re-intalling it would work. On that score see my other
messages.

It's because people have so many problems w/ it and they
don't want to support them. MS words.
