Wireless and wired connections together

I have a desktop and a laptop networked together via an ethernet cable and
seems to be working all right. But every time I boot up I get the message
wireless connection not available (or similar wording). Is it possible to
have a wireless network connection as well with these two same computers, or
would there be conflicts?

Just look at the previous thread, only route with less metric will be used
for communication
