Wireless & Powerline

I am in the process of moving into a 2 story house (basement with two
additional stories. What would be the best place for me to position my
wireless router in a house that is about 4000 sq feet?

Also, I have just discovered the world of powerline (don't laugh). I had no
idea that such a technology was out in the market. My question is this: if
the signal in let's say in my master bedroom is weak, could I run an
Ethernet cable out from one of the ports of my wireless adapter and into a
powerline adapter (a), then (b), have another powerline adapter upstairs
connected to a wireless AP?

(I just realized while I was typing the above: wouldn't that port from my
wireless router be limited to only one PC)

I am new to the wireless world, so if this sounds silly, please keep that in
mind.

Thanks, you guys

Your WAP upstairs will enable multiple PC's to connect to the Internet from
it using that one hard-wired connection to the WAP downstairs. If you have
a laptop, you can be upstairs with a good signal to the WAP upstairs and
when you're downstairs, have yuor laptop connect to the WAP downstairs. I
have basically the same setup at work. I have one WAP upstairs in the
conference room and I have one downstairs in the central office area so that
our road warriors can tune in their laptop to whichever WAP near where
they're at in the office and work away wirelessly.

Hope this helps.
