Wireless and my network

I set up a wireless system from my desktop to my laptop and it was pretty
easy and it is working great. One problem though: I backup data from my
desktop to my laptop on a frequent basis and it is really slow since I
installed the wireless. Does anyone have any tips on speeding this up? BTW
the wireless cable speed test is the same on both machines.

Joan

Go back to wire between the machines when you need to do a backkup using a
*null/crossover* cable and connect the cable machine to machine to the wire
NIC's.

Can't I run a cat wire from my router to the laptop? Would that work?

The same thing. You connect both machines back into the router using
their wire connections, which is faster than wireless for your backup.
