wireless and clueless

I am brand new to networking and I want to wireless network two home
computers. I am considering a Netgear wireless "Super G" router.
One computer uses WIN98 and the other runs XP Home Edition. I am hoping to
share some files and the internet DSL connection. Can I mix the 2 systems?
