Wireless adaptor for Win98 machine?

I have a Win98 machine I'm trying to connect to my wireless network. It's not
Win98SE, it's the first edition. I've tried two different Linksys adaptors, the
PCI and USB models, and neither will work unless I upgrade to Win98SE or later.
Is there some other adaptor that will work with Win98?

If you like Linksys gear, try a WET11. Instead of PCI or USB, it has an
ethernet interface. It doesn't care what OS your computer is running, since
it has no drivers.

Install any wired NIC in your computer to connect the two together.

My wife's laptop is running Win98, not SE, and it works fine using a
Belkin card. The Belkin card (54g) was about the only one we found
that did not need the "SE" edition and it installed painlessly and
connects to our Netgear network with no problems. Took it to a
friends house who is running Linksys and again it connected just fine.

2 Kings 2:23-25 Elisha left Jericho and went up to Bethel.
As he was walking along the road, a group of boys from the
town began mocking and making fun of him. "Go away, you
baldhead!" they chanted. "Go away, you baldhead!" Elisha
turned around and looked at them, and he cursed them in
the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods
and mauled forty-two of them. From there Elisha went to
Mount Carmel and finally returned to Samaria.

Whoops, I hit send before I meant to. I have not researched Belkin
for desktops but you might want to see if their PCI card would work
for you as well with vanilla Win98.
