Wired-Wireless Network

My friend has a wired-ethernet network and is considering adapting wireless
to it. His question is, once adapted will his laptops be able to share
resources like his wired network (files and printers) or just share internet
connectivity? I don't know the answer so I'm hoping someone here does.

Thanks

Yes - assuming he replaces his existing device with a wired/wireless router,
it's still one network regardless of how you connect to it. You may well
have issues if you try to maintain both a wired and a wireless connection on
the same computer. But, otherwise the network setup wizard and/or manual
network configuration is not altered simply because the computer is
connected wirelessly.

If configured correctly, you will notice no difference.
