Yes - assuming he replaces his existing device with a wired/wireless router,
it's still one network regardless of how you connect to it. You may well
have issues if you try to maintain both a wired and a wireless connection on
the same computer. But, otherwise the network setup wizard and/or manual
network configuration is not altered simply because the computer is
connected wirelessly.
