Hi,

I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router (3 in 1) connected to my cable modem
(roadrunner). The #1 port is connected to my #1 computer (XP). My #2
computer (XP) has a Linksys WMP54G wireless PCI adapter card. The problem is
both computers have internet access but do not see or communicate with each
other. Computer #2 sees the wireless network. I have switched several
settings to no avail and am now back at the defaults, ready to try again.
Linksys says to contact Microsoft. Microsoft says it's a Linksys problem.
Somebody help me PLEASE!!!

Any help is greatly appreciated.
THANKS

Insure that both computers are set up to receive a dynamic address.

Do both have the same workgroup?

Can you ping from each to the other by computer name?

If not, can you ping using the computer's IP address?

You probably don't have "NetBIOS" added in the network connections on both
of your computers. This is the primary cause of computers in a network not
wanting to talk with each other directly, but they all work fine via the
Internet.

Make sure you have the Windows XP firewall turned off on all machines.
