Environment:
W2K
Cisco VPN client v3.63
No wireless security (WEP or otherwise) enabled.
Netgear ME102 802.11b WAP
Linksys Cable/DSL Router
Cable broadband connection
Toshiba tecra 9000 laptop with built in 802.11b card.
Problem:
So I get the laptop talking to the WAP and all is well. I did a
bandwidth test on cnet and it says 1800 mbps (yaay!). All is well
until I fire up my VPN. My net connection still flies but the
connection to my corporate LAN is a major dog, way way slower than
dial up. If I connect my laptop via ethernet to the router my VPN
flies.
So, for some reason, my VPN does not like 802.11b, what gives?
TIA,
Paul
