Back a few years ago, I bought a Linksys BEFSR41 cable
router when I first got Comcast. I got frustrated with
trying to set it up and gave up. I want to re-try
again. Is that router still good to use or is it
obsolete by now?

Thanks

a) Get the manual from Linksys' site

b) Get the latest BIOS upgrade for it

c) Reset to default

d) Install new BIOS

e) whoosh.

This Netgear which works wired and wirless was a whole $10.

Bellsoutth offered a free Westell DSL Modem and CompUSA had a Netgear
Wireless Router for $10 after Rebate then you connect the 3 Ethernet LAN
Cable and away you go - connectiing.

There should be no reason why you cannot use this router, just make sure you
have the updated drivers including the firmware. Go to the Linksys site with
the model number to be sure!
