I have a company network running mostly Windows NT. It consists of a PDC,
BDC, several applications servers and 40 workstations. I do not use dhcp
and have static IP addresses setup for all computers. Everything wired to a
3com 24 port switch.
I have been attempting to connect a Linksys BEFW11S4 to the 3com switch and
be able to access the internet from all computers using it.
I have turned off dhcp on the linksys and changed the ip to something on my
network subnet.
I can ping the linksys but cannot access the internet. Any help will be
appreciated. My goal is to allow VPN access so I have also setup the proper
filters.

Are you using the Uplink port on the router to connect the switch to it?
And wouldn't that be the other way around that you connect the SW into the
router and the router is the gateway device?
