I have the same router, and it is awesome...
Connect the router to the computer and configure it first. If you installed
it with its original settings, the WAN port is still disabled. Even if you
choose the default settings, run through the Wizard at least once. (At the
very least, change the Administrator name and password. Once you are done,
connect the WAN port to the cable modem. If it doesn't get a connection
within 15 seconds or so, power cycle the router (at least 1 minute).
Once it comes up, you might want to make security changes to the wireless
connection. Right now, anyone that puts "any" as a SSID on their unit will
be able to connect to the router. To slow some folks down, I recommend you
change the SSID and enable WEP. Although WEP will slow the connection some,
it will still be much faster than the cable modem, and therefore, no effect.
