I am not sure what changes were made, no one can tell me
anything, this is primarily used by my family members, and
never by me. I don't think any software was installed,
and definitely no hardware.
I don't have a wired connection. all I have is the
wireless router.
As far as the inconfig /renew goes, yes I did release the
old one first. When I do try to renew, it says
Windows IP Configuration
An error occurred while renewing Wireless Network
Connection. an operation was attempted on something that
is not a socket.
After doing a search through the knowledge database, I am
guessing that something is wrong with the TCP/IP
protocol. I have tried to do some of the things they
suggested in the database to correct the problem, but they
have not worked. I am guessing I'll have to reinstall the
operating system.
