I am using RRAS to route IP traffic on my , windows 2k server, DC (gateway
card 192.168.254.1, Lan card 192.168.0.1 not set up as a NAT router) I would
like to enable WINS lookup on this machine. However when I attempt to
configure wins I get told that it cannot find the server. I have deleted the
wins server and tried to install it on either of the address and got the
same thing. I would appreciate any help that this group could give.

Thanks in advance
Jon

You have a major problem here. WINS uses Netbios names. Netbios has
major problems with multihomed servers, especially if they are DCs. I would
recommend that you use some other device or machine to act as a router. You
will also have major problems with browsing if the DC is multihomed.

If you must use the DC as a router and WINS server I would recommend
disabling Netbios over TCP/IP on one of the interfaces.
