Greetings All,
Recently, I've been unsuccessful trying to add a Linksys
Wireless-G notebook adapter to my Dell Inspiron 4100
laptop, which has WinME.
I've tried many, many things, but in a nutshell, the
linksys "icon" for the wireless adapter rarely appears in
the bt. right hand corner (i.e., just to the left of the
clock/time). When it does decide to show up, I'm able to
get it to recognize the Wireless Access Point, &
successfully get on the Web. But the bt. right Linksys
icon comes & goes, but mostly goes :-( (i.e., if I
restart or log off & get back on, it's hardly ever there
upon startup).
***Is there a way to edit 1 of the WinME startup files,
or 1 of the registry keys, so that I can "force" WinME,
upon startup, to recognize the driver for this wireless
adapter laptop card?***
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
Sincerely,
SDH
