I have been on broadband for some months and have just installed Winfax Pro
but running into problems. Do I configure to use my old dialup modem or can
I configure (and how) to use the Alcatel ADSL modem which is the preferred
option. Whatever I try I can't get it going.

Any ideas?
Phil

You should use your old analogue modem for faxes.

I have a dedicated line to my PC which is ADSL. I also use Winfax by having
my old 56k modem in a PCI slot and plugging the cable from that modem into
the side of the splitter next to the cable coming from the broadband router
which is on Ethernet.
This gives me always on ADSL and always ready to recieve on WinFax.
If you don't have a dedicated line then you don't want Winfax always ready
to recieve, but you could still configure it to send out faxes.
