Windows Zero Configuration?

Can anybody help me with where to find this and what to do?

My HP and Compaq (same company now) require me to configure the Windows Zero
configuration but I cant find it.

Do you mean Windows 'Wireless Zero Configuration' service?

Start|run|services.msc

Set the Wireless Zero Configuration Service to automatic and start it.
