Hi,

Yes this would be possible and there are few possible ways. One is to write
as script that would run at certain time and install the update. The other
would be to use service such as SUS (if you enough clients to justify
deployment of SUS). After you approve the patches (and in this case SP2) it
will be deployed to your clients.

Do you have domain environment?

If not you can see local policies if you follow this:

Start -> run -> gpedit.msc and click OK. Now follow this ...

Computer configuration -> administrative templates -> windows components ->
windows update

What operating system do you run?

Australis is correct.
If you do not see what Miha has described, you have to add the template to
the administrative template in the group policy that is applied to the
computers in question.

Open the Group Policy that you want to apply to the comptuers.
Under Computer Settings, right click on Administrative Templates and choose
Add/Remove.
Click add and add wuau.adm. This file should be on the server if you
installed SUS on it.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

You can schedule the server to check with Microsoft if there are any new
updates available (e.g. check every evening). Still Microsoft releases
patches once a month (every second Tuesday in a month)...
