Windows XP remembers old share names

Hi!

Currently I am facing the strange problem that Windows XP remembers
some old share names, however they are not visible in the network
folders.

Background: I replaced my old Win Server with a new one (different
name, different IP).

No program, link or file is referencing to any old share on the old
server, but if I am trying to start any program on the workstation and
take a trace of network activities I can still find name resolution
attempts for the OLD server (which of course time out and fail).

Has anyone some ideas why this is happening?
It causes significant delays on program startup.

Thanks in advance
MaMa
