Is it better to let windows control the wireless or to use the
software that come with a wireless card. I'm expecting a 3comm card
tomorrow. This is my first system with windows xp professional. with
the "home version" i've had no trouble connecting but on the
professional version I would set it to connect and then after
rebooting it under status the ip address field would be empty despite
is being correct in tcp/ip properties. I'm expecting a new card
tomorrow to be used on a clean system .
I'd love any pointers.
thanks

Nancy
