Can ping a XP Home box from a XP Pro box and vice versa. Can share a folder
from the Home box and map it as a drive from the Pro box to get data from
the Home box to the Pro one. If I try and write to the mapped drive I get
an access denied error message. Anyone know why this is?

Using same account name/password on both? Otherwise could be permissions
for Guest account, or permissions on actual folder. Check in User
Manager and Explorer, and if that doesn't work check your policies.

The Home PC doesn't get logged into, it just goes straight to the desktop.
Can the permissions on the actual folder be messed with under XP Home?
