Hi..We have a L2TP VPN enabled at the office, and we've been using web
enrollment to issue the certificates!!

Now we have upgraded our computers to Windows Vista, so what can I do
now??.. The web enrollment ain't working coz this active X issue, and we
don't have a Longhorn server. When requesting from the MMC it says there are
no certificate templates available...

I need to request and get a MAchine certificate from Windows Vista in order
to connect to a L2TP VPN.. How can I do this please???

This article should assist you in getting this to work:

"How to use Certificate Services Web enrollment pages together with Windows
Vista"

The atricle kb922706 referes to instaling the "Windows Server "Longhorn"
certificate enrollment Web pages"

Where can I find them, and at the end of the article there is a note that
says that I must modify the certificate enrollment Web site to require SSL.

How do I do that.

You can download Windows Server 2008 Beta 3 from the following web site:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/default.mspx

I am not familiar with the certificate services component of WS08 yet, so
you will need to read the Help to find out how to enable SSL for the Web
enrollment pages.

I just found out that you can call Product Support Services and open a free
hotfix case; they will give you the required software and instructions on
getting this working.
