Hi,

My name is Andy. I had problem recently with my website. Some of it's
files that are infected this virus called VBS.Redlof.A which infect
files like .html .php...etc. Information about the virus that says
Unix aren't vurnerable to it

here is more infomation about the virus
http://securityresponse.symantec.com....redlof.a.html

I usually upload files onto the web server(apache) from my laptop
which is linux. What happened was that due to problem I had with my
phoneline I had to go to one of my school's computer to upload, and as
the result the web pages that were uploaded were infected. And now
every body that has a computer that's equiped with anti-virus software
that visits my website will have a warning message saying that the
files download from the site is infected.

I don't have windows on my laptop, and I'm not sure how to get rid of
the virus on a unix server, and stop the warning messages from pop out
when visitors comes in, does everyone here had similar experience and
can help?

Thanks

Andy

Well, when your dialup is working again, use the laptop to connect to the
webserver (ftp?) and delete all the stuff you have there. Then reload the
page from the non-infected laptop repository.
